Dr. Pamela Freeman

Dr. Pamela Freeman is a 1977 graduate of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. She then completed her training in Internal Medicine at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis and her training in the subspecialty of Rheumatology at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

She is ISCD (International Society of Clinical Densitometry) Certified and Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Dr. Caryn Hasselbring

Dr. Caryn Hasselbring received her degree in physical therpy from Washington University in 1974. She is a 1982 graduate of Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri.

She completed her training in Internal Medicine at Northwestern University’s McGaw Medical Center in Chicago and her training in the subspecialty of Rheumatology at the University of Pittsburgh’s Presbyterian Hospital.

She is ISCD (International Society of Clinical Densitometry) Certified and Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Dr. Laura Summers

Dr. Laura Summers is a 1990 graduate of West Virginia University School of Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia. She completed her training in Internal Medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and her training in the subspecialty of Rheumatology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

She is ISCD (International Society of Clinical Densitometry) Certified and Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology.

Dr. Rita Raturi

Dr Rita Raturi graduated from the University of South Florida Medical School in 2014. She completed her Internal Medicine residency and Rheumatology fellowship at the University of South Florida as well.  She is ABIM certified in Internal Medicine and Board eligible for Rheumatology certification.  She is ISCD (International Society of Clinical densitometry) certified.

She spends her free time running with her dog, traveling ,cooking and golfing.

Alicia Frisby, P.A.

Alicia Frisby, P.A. is a health professional licensed to practice medicine with physician supervision. She has been practicing in our office since October 2000. Alicia is a 1999 graduate of St. Louis University with special training in Family Practice and Pediatrics.

She works as part of our medical team to assist in follow-up patient care and participates in many of our clinical trials. Alternate appointments may be scheduled with Alicia when more frequent or urgent follow-up is required.

Amy Bockelkamp, DNP, ARNP-C

Amy Bockelkamp graduated from the University of South Florida (USF) with a dual master’s degree in nursing education and adult–gerontology primary care nursing. Since graduating, she has devoted her clinical practice to rheumatology and has a particular interest in polymyositis and dermatomyositis.

She went on to further increase her knowledge by earning a doctorate of nursing practice from USF, with a clinical focus on rheumatology. She is board certified in rheumatology by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She has been a nurse for 10 years and is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

She has developed and is currently seeking to implement a program entitled Rheumatology Virtual City: A Digital Workshop for Advanced Practice Nursing Students.

Amy Bockelkamp is married and has three spoiled four-legged children: two cockapoos and a maltipoo. Her hobbies include reading, traveling, sewing, and playing the piano and cello.

Christina Payne, PA

Christina Payne is a board-certified and licensed physician assistant currently practicing Rheumatology. She received her undergraduate education in Health Science from the University of Florida, where she graduated with Cum Laud honor.

She went on to earn her Master of Clinical Medical Science from Barry University, where she also graduated Cum Laude. She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is a member of several professional associations, including American Association of Physician Assistants, Florida Academy of Physician Assistants and Florida Society of Rheumatology. She is also a preceptor of PA students for several universities.

Christina spent four years in internal medicine after graduating and believes in building a rapport with patients so they feel supported through effective communication. She is dedicated to empowering her patients with the knowledge to make informed decisions regarding their care and promoting over all well-being. She is married and in her spare time loves to travel, read and play the piano.
